Berlin at Marty’s On Newport

On Friday night, Rock in the OC headed out to Tustin for a stop at Marty's on Newport to catch Berlin performing a well rounded set of their hits from the 80's. Marty's is a dive bar in the purest sense and a perfect representation of all the pros/cons one would expect. The crowd seemed a pretty good mix of people in their 40's which is to be expected at a Berlin set. Lots of friendly faces and smiles and only a few scowling frowns and tough guy types. Nancy Wilson and Roadcase Royale at the Coach House

Last night, we ventured back to one of our favorite venues, The Coach House, to catch the sold out Nancy Wilson concert.  These days, Nancy is touring with a new band - Roadcase Royale - which is comprised of several members of Heart (Dan Rothchild, Chris Joyner, Ben Smith) plus a few new faces (Liv Warfield, Ryan Waters). L.A. Guns at the Coach House

On Friday night, several of us from Rock in the OC ventured to the Coach House to catch L.A. Guns. Jack Russell's Great White had originally been scheduled to play that night, but he was forced to cancel (sounds like he might have been under the weather).  When we found out about the cancellation late on Wednesday, we were more than bummed - we had been looking forward to some rock all week.  Our disappointment was short lived however, as we heard on Thursday morning that L.A.
